Herbert H. Stam

Herbert H. Stam is the inventor of the B33 MOLE®. Herb has been connected with the anhydrous ammonia business since 1955. He started with applying anhydrous ammonia and when he couldn't get it to apply right, he made his own application knife. The rest is history, he began manufacturing knives and selling them to other applicators.

The B33 MOLE® was developed about two years of research and development. Its' splitting and lifting action is unique and is what causes the "Mole Hole"™ to be formed. The "Mole Hole"™ is what traps the anhydrous ammonia where you want it and where it will not leak into the air.

This is a picture of the hole formed with the B33 MOLE®. This is where your ammonia will be caught and used, not puffing up into the air.

"Look, No Leaks!"

The knife on the left is the B33 MOLE® which is sealing and holding the ammonia in the ground. The knife is not a B33 MOLE® and you can see the ammonia puffing from the ground.
